Some Facts for Buyers & Sellers

Buyer & Seller Facts
A lot of information will start coming at you when you plan to move, and it can be hard to figure out what's true and necessary. Fortunately, I've got your back. I'll make sure you always you get the right information, starting with these facts that often come up at the beginning of a transaction:

1. Buyers, your house might lose value. However, even if your house value drops, you have an asset that you can count on in the future as you pay it off and gain more equity. Plus, you have security and a home that you can rent out, add on to, sell, raise your kids in, run a business from, and borrow against.
2. Buyers, you can make a lower offer for a house. I may advise you about competing offers other recently sold prices, but I will make a compelling case for your offer no matter the situation.
3. Sellers, open houses mostly don't sell houses. However, they do expose houses to the market, getting a lot of "lookers" out of the way so they're not calling for private showing appointments just to see the house. It's also a good time for buyer's agents to see the home.
4. Buyers and sellers, real estate agent commissions are negotiable. When we meet for a listing or buyer consult, we'll talk about my commission and the work you can expect for the levels of service you want me to provide.
5. Buyers and sellers, I may recommend service providers that I know. They may refer business to me, too. The reason we refer each other is that we know the other will take care of you with the highest level of service. You should also find your own services and compare.
6. Sellers, not every home needs to be staged. Buyers can tell if your home has good bones or not. Staging helps some homes, but staging isn't for every home. A good cleaning and decluttering will often be enough.
